Become a Member of The Milwaukee County Historical Society.

Join the growing numbers of individuals who enjoy numerous benefits and discounts of membership while exploring Milwaukee County’s rich history. With your membership you also support the Society's mission to recognize and preserve our local history. In promoting a greater appreciation of Milwaukee County's heritage, the Historical Society hopes to develop a better understanding of the issues and challenges facing Milwaukee County today.

Your membership dollars provide revenue to:

  • develop exhibitions and expand our collections
  • manage and provide public access to research materials
  • publish books and other publications
  • develop school programs
  • support The Milwaukee County Landmark program
  • fund lectures and other community services

Join the Friends of the Milwaukee County Historical Society

The Friends of the Milwaukee County Historical Society is a support association whose purpose is to provide additional financial assistance to the Historical Society through programming geared to Milwaukee's history and diverse culture. Members of the Friends enjoy private tours, lectures and other events that explore numerous facets of our heritage that make the Milwaukee community an enjoyable place to live. After the Historical Society took over oversight of Trimborn Farms in 2004, a separate Friends group was established for those individuals who want to help support the restoration and programs for this historic property. Learn more about both Friends organizations.

Individuals, families, and businesses have the option of becoming members of the Historical Society, the Friends of MCHS, the Friends of Trimborn Farms or of all three organizations. The Milwaukee County Historical Society is a non-profit, 501(c) (3) organization.
