Volunteer at Trimborn Farm

Volunteer Opportunities

You don’t need a history or a farm background to volunteer, just an open mind and a willingness to learn! It's your opportunity to enhance our visitors' experience and your own sense of connection to our immigrant forbearers. Most of the volunteer positions are available from May to October, with a variety of experiences and time commitments. Volunteer positions include:

INTERPRETATION: This is your opportunity to be a historical interpreter, teaching and educating the public in the history of pioneer Wisconsin industrial, agriculture and rural life. You will give guided tours of Trimborn Farm and/or the Jeremiah Curtin House to adults or school groups, and to the general public at special events. We provide you with written materials and training.

SPECIAL EVENTS: We host numerous special events at the Farm. At these events we need not only tour guides, but also assistance for concessions, raffle sales, set-up, take-down, and more. You can help at as many events as you like, and your admission will be complimentary of course!

OTHER SERVICES: Behind the stage, we have herb and vegetable gardens to maintain, occasional office tasks, work in the development of new programs and workshops, and other opportunities.
