Chicago & Northewestern Depot
MCHS Number: M1984.011.018
Miniature model of the Chicago & Northewestern Depot. These model sections are part of a scale model depicting downtown Milwaukee at the start of the twentith century. It's builder, Ferdinand Aumueller, took up model building as a hobby when he retired in 1955. He completed this project in 1969 after two years of work. The entire downtown collection of buildings encompasses sixty city blocks, from State street south to Clybourn and from Fifth Street east to Jackson Street. It was donated to the Society in 1983 by Mr. & Mrs. Thomas S. O' Byrne.
