War Bonnet

War Bonnet

Sioux war bonnet. Leather crown piece with black, light blue, and yellow beaded strip. Vertically attached feathers (white with black tips). Buckskin fringe, red ribbon, and 2 round plastic framed mirrors at temples. Navy blue felt trailer with yellow/gold felt lining attached at back. Top edge of trailer lined with a row of feathers; at top feathers are salt and pepper colored, towards bottom white with black tips. Feathers bound with red felt at fitted with leather loops to atach to rest of bonnet. Three single feathers attached toward center of felt trailer.

Pair; beaded on top in blue, green, white, and red; smooth grain dark leather panels at heel back.

Tesuque ceramic effigy figure. Ceramic seated woman with hands to ears, pot on lap, soot/fire marks (?), remnants of brown paint on woman and triangular geometric design on pot.


Pueblo Pot

Pueblo ceramic pot. Bulbous ceramic pot with overall burnt umber pattern over cream ground. Triangular geometric pattern on upper 2/3 of pot, solid burnt umber on lower register. Dark brown thin banding at rim.
